    new kid on this block!

    Hi all,
Just found this site a while back! looks pretty cool! Altho Ive been working on stuff for over 35 years, Im relatively new to the rod scene.
Im working on a couple of rides right now. One is a 70 Chevelle 454 rag that Ive owned since the early 80s. Its an original LS5- 52,000 mile car that just got back in paint. Now Im trying to find time to get it re-assembled.

Ive also owned a "barned" 37 Chevy coupe for about the same length of time. Last summer I sold a 66 factory 4spd el Camino that I only drove occassionally so I could plunk a down payment on "my" perfect rod. A jet-black 37 Chevy coupe.

The 37 is a sbc powered / 350TH set up that ran mid 12s in street dress.(not with the motor in it now,but that going to change, starting with a set of alum.heads, probably next year .) Its got a mustang front and a 9" ford/Moser 4.11 rear. Im having a 700 od built for it right now to make it a little easier to drive on the highway.

Im sure Im going to have some questions as I finish building this car..it still needs an interoir, heater/ac, wipers etc....
Im just an average "working-joe" (with a pretty understanding wife),trying to save enough cash for my next "upgrade"!
Look forward to hearing from anyone with suggestions!

Welcome to CHR Slamd. That is a really good looking '37. I think most of us here identify well with waiting for time and money!!!!
