new member, 1st writing on this site!!
Hi, my name is jack, live in Ontario, Canada! I own a 57 chev Belair that I personally did a 6 yr. body off rottisserie retoration on. it has been on the road now since 2002. My wife has a mint 73 stingray which we have owned since 1991.
I have a 56 chev 210 sedan which is presently FOR SALE. it is a very good solid driver, good body, perfect frame, floor braces and floors,.The car has a very strong 350 with a turbo 400 auto.
Colour is red and white with a custom bucket seat + console grey interior which is very nicely done, not cheesy! asking 26,000 Cdn. dollars
My NEWEST toy is a 49 Anglia. I just bought it 1 month ago.
I am seriosly considering chopping the top approx 3". I have done body work + welding ,BUT never done a roof chop.
I just bought a book titled "How to chop tops" by Tex Smith but I haven't read it as yet. If anyone can give me help, especially if they have chopped this model of car I would appreciate it.
I dont want to attemp it and wreck the car. I have had an estimate of approx. $3,000.00 to have an old hot rodder do the job for me. He said he has done dozens of car chops!!
Kind of a long introduction,eh?49anglia

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
