Welcome aboard Cod. The accoustics can be overcome with lots of amps and a heavy duty volume control. What you need for a 57 style sound system is an old Wurlitzer juke box in the back with modern electronics installed.
I can hear the audio freaks from half a mile or more when they drive by my house even when I'm inside and they have their windows rolled up. Don't they care about going deaf? I guess it's like cigarettes. I'll only smoke till I get cancer then I'll quit.
