They had air conditioning back then, even some cars had it since late 30's, 1939 Packard is 1, no clutch on the pump so off, was remove the belt going to the pump.Originally posted by nivram

I'm sure they had 'em (tv's) back then. As for how many people owned sets. That might be a different story. Scary to think about not living with TV, Internet and air conditioning.
