Love of Cars, lack of Money

Just found this site, seems like a good place to get info. I have a 57 100e Anglia panel that I hope to install a Ford 302 into. My plans are for a custom frame, Mustang II suspension, narrowed rear end, etc. Long ways off, to many other iorns in the fire. Also have a 55 Ford F100 that I paln on chopping the top and making a Rat Rod out off. A 65 VW that I want to make a dailey driver, Cal style meets surf junkie. Live in central Cal, love Hot Rods, Rat Rods, Euro trash, and just about any car you can think of.:whacked:

Welcome Anglianut. Not enough money has always been a problem for me, too. The good part is, lack of funds forced me to learn to do almost everything myself. The only thing I don't do on my cars is the machine work on the engines and the upholstery.

Twenty-some years ago, before Mustang II stuff was common, I built a rolling chassis for a friend's Anglia. I used the complete front end assembly out of an MG Midget. It was the perfect width for the Anglia, had all the good stuff (disc brakes, R&P steering), and it was bolted in. I fabricated matching brackets on the new frame so it bolted in there, too...
