New Dallas Guy
Hey folks, name is 'BigKen'. Grew-up under cars. Dad was an Altered pilot back in the 60's, so the time I wasn't at the strip, we were at car shows.
Dad's got a pair of '58 Chevys, 1 Del-Ray, 1-Nomad. Restored drivers/showcars.
I got into Harleys 25 years ago, and have been riding since.
I've been looking for a project for years, and just acquired one. 1933 Ford Pick-up basket case. All steel, complete. Cab/frame need blasting/stiffening. Rest of the steel had been blasted, bed primed.
Package includes a '78 Suburban w/454/400/4.11 posi. Drivetrain for the '33. This is my first major project, and am not afraid to tackle it. But will be looking for advise/parts/tech-tips.
Looks like a great site, and look forward to communicating.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
