    New Owner

New to the Forum. Just saying hello and telling a little abuot myself and my new toy.
I live in NW Ohio where I work as a City Police Officer. I'm 29 YOA and have been into cars as long as I can remember. My first car was a 1970 Chevelle but I later went to the Mustangs. After owning several stangs, my last was one that I built ground up for mainly quarter mile, but was still streetable. Well two weeks ago I met with a guy that had this 1940 Chevy 2 door coupe. It is SICK. Chopped 4 inches, shaved handels and lines, mustang front susp., Ford 9 inch with 4.10's, 350 crate. Brand new 5 star polished rims, 12" tires out back. There was no interior at all but I love fabrication so thats a breeze. No paint. Its in primer with all the body work completed. I could tell this guy was just burnt out with his project so I asked if he would trade for my mustang. He told me he had to think about it so I figured that was a plite "no". He showed up the nexr morning on my doorstep wanting to do the deal. So now I am a PROUD owner of a street rod Chevy. I still have to take down my "Ford Parking Only sign". I am very happy and can't wait to get working on this buid. My head is exploding with all kinds of cool ideas. This street rod stuff is all new to me so I'm sure I'll be asking for advise every now and then. Thanks for everyones time.

Chopped 40 Welcome to CHR. Sounds like you got yourself a nice sounding rod. Love the old chevy's. Post some pictures of it when you get a chance.
Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!
