Welcome to the site. I'm am currentlly working on a 67 el camino that I fired up for the first time in 5+ years. As far as fixing up your I started with rust repair (was most of my car) then suspension, engine. Thats where I'm at now. I'm going to try to put some glass in soon so I can drive it down to get an emissions test. In colorado you only need to do it once then as long as you don't let the plates lapse you never need a e-test it again (can you say engine mods).
