New member from down in New Zealand
Hi,
Just signed up, and was almost a milestone! Member 9,999.
I've been reading on here for a while (when I get a bit of spare time here at work) and have decided to finally sign up.
I have just sold my previous project, so am in the initial planning stages of my first rod, a '37 Ford vert. I have an uncle who has been a rodder for ever and I've always wanted one of my own. I got hooked on the '37 when I found a t-shirt with one on about 12 years ago!
I always thought one would be out of my reach, or impossible to find. I hadn't picked up a hot rod mag for years and didn't know how big the industry had actually become, and what was available.
If anyone knows of any good books about building hot rods that could help me out in these early stages that would be great. I don't plan on getting started on this project for a while yet, got to do a lot of reading first and come up with a game plan.
Cheers, Daniel.

'37 Ford, sounds like a nice rod project. Good luck and keep us posted on how you're making out.

Dan, welcome aboard. I don't know that I can help you find a 37 being here in the middle of the US but I wish you luck.. Talk to Southerner as he is in your country and might be able to help you.Duane S

Cheers guys, I'll be ordering a book or two as we are heading into our winter down here. Gotta have something to do, seeing as there's no project in the garage yet!
Have alo found a place down here that can supply a '37 glass body, I'll have to check them out. Still lots of planning to do, and probably a trip stateside for a look.

Dang New Zealanders, you won't let my school's ship into your country this summer. But hey, what do I care, I should be on a commercial ship.
