    new guy

    Hey everybody,
Apart from looking at old cars and trucks online, I'm completely new to hotrods although I'm looking to know everything I can about them. I hope to rebuild a 1929-1935 Ford model A pickup and an completely lost so I'v decided to come here and see if I cant figure things out. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated, any sites or anything, on motors, bodies or anything else you might be able to think of.

    Thanks,
    Graham

welcome , i think you should stick around for awhile. lots of info and helpfull people here. as for your future builder, there is a thousand different things you can do to it all according to taste and to budget. i would suggest finding a nice straight rust free as possible pickup and start from there. one more thing, thelawnmower ? thats kinda different, where did you come up with that

lol Im from San Antonio, Mexicans are the majority, its a joke my Houston friends started when I moved away. Since most lawn guys you see around here are Mexicans, my nickname became the lawn mower. Pretty damn racist I know...I hope that doesnt piss anybody off. No offense meant.

As for the truck, I was thinking the exact same thing. What I had in mind was a rust free 1934 Ford model A pickup. I like the look of the chop tops, as well as no fenders. Just the tires sticking out. I also would like to leave the engine bay open from the sides with the top covered, if that makes any sense. I want to put a massive engine in it, pretty much as big as I can fit. Whitewall tires, wide back tires narrow front tires. I also like the way trucks look when they sit high in the back, which the bigger tires in the rear will help with. Well I think thats about all I can think of right now.

    Thanks for your input,
    Graham
