seriously though replacing with a 440 makes way more sense.
Yea, I was thinking of keeping the stock 3.23 gears. I figure with a 383 it would be well off... or a 440.

Want to keep the engine MOPAR that's why I'm thinking 383 or 440.

Yea, I hear ya Dave, I think it's sitting at about 3,300 lbs. which is why was looking to pull that little 318. I think keeping the 3.23 gears are fine and will give me prety much what I'm looking for.

A 440 is obtainable from a lot of the huge chryslers during the 70s. It takes some work to pull all the smog equipment from the later ones, but if you can score an earlier 440, then you just need to find a way to route the exhaust manifolds so they dont hit, and drive.

Ok, whats with all the GM stuff in a mopar room? huh? and if you're runnin with a b body satilite i would deffiniately like to see a 440 with a 6 pack, but i really doubt that will happen, as a new 6 pack setup will run you about 1500. but, like they say, the only thing better then a lot of cubic inches is more cubic inches. so, go get it overbored .030 for $20 a cylinder at a local machine shop and get a tall cam and a big eldelbrock.
