That intake would be a big NO.

    Try Hot Hemi Heads

    http://www.hothemiheads.com/

Click on the Chrysler icon and look under intake manifolds.

    or search E Bay.

Basically any 55-58 331/354/392 Hemi intake will work on your 55.

I just read one of your previous posts where you list the engine as a Fire Dome. What do the valve covers or plug wire covers say on them?

The reason I ask is that the Fire Dome is a DeSoto engine while the Fire Power is the Chrysler engine. Parts do NOT interchange between the 2 engines.

Mike is going to be the expert on this one. From what I've heard, there were so many variations of Hemis made back then and lots of stuff is not interchangeable. Also, dust off your Visa card.........you are going to need it.

    My 392

You are correct, not cheap. Just be patient, it's worth it. Took me nearly 60years to get a Hemi, especially one of the good ole ones .
Bob Walker at Hot Heads very helpful, and willing to help all he can.

Pat most people who build these darn things will tell you the initial purchase of the Hemi is usually the CHEAP part of the whole project.
