You might want to poke around in here....there is a fair amount of early Hemi info.

You are correct, not cheap. Just be patient, it's worth it. Took me nearly 60years to get a Hemi, especially one of the good ole ones.
Bob Walker at Hot Heads very helpful, and willing to help all he can.
