Thanks for the info, I guess I didn't fill the form out right, I'm from Saskatchewan Canada. I have my pet 73 Camaro that has OD 700R4 just changing over to a ford 9" with 389's compared to the 373's which were getting a little on the weak side, Getting a little older so with standard in that barracuda I may not like shifting, but one reason why a standard may be right is it came with one and the clutch peddle is still in there although it's a 3 spd. auto right now.There is cruising gears in it now, but I got 391's with the project so I am thinking OD 833 and 391's would give a decent RPM at 60MPH and still lots of go off the line. The other thing is how can you tell the difference between 318 and 340? This motor was build 5 yrs. ago but the guy doesn't know what motor he bought if you can believe that, also different performance heads are supose to be on it.
