bb dodge damper
i am using a bb dodge industrial damper on my blown slantsix, the problem is i have split one down the keyway and the second one has a hair line crack forming, can a stock damper stand up to the strain of a blower belt and pully or should i be running a aftermarket steel crank hub that is only for attaching the drive pullies?

If you're running a Gilmer belt drive, you don't need a harmonic damper. The belt takes care of the harmonics.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

Wow, just noticed the post was from 2008! Not a lot of activity in the category, one page of posts goes back to 2007. I'm off to Moparstyle...

it is not going to hurt any thing running the damper so the way i see it your better to have a damper then not and just run the hub only and hopeIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip
