i ran my truck at gateway 16.3 @82mph , my thought is not bad for a fullsize truck with 4 inch lift on 85 degree night and the stock 8.2 compression ratio and 4.25 lift cam 78 440 and 3.21 gears, oh the best part about it was my 60 ft times (2.356) i was beating most cars as the spun

cant wait til i get the 3.92 gears, higher compression heads and cam, also i was thinking about the electic fan and water pump that should free up some ponies and help keep the big block cool

i know i will never have the fastest street truck but if i can pull a 14.00 et then i could beat my buddies 98 cobra that runs 14.2 on a cool night,

Do not run an electric water pump on the street. The 440 will run cooler, longer, and better with the stocker. Belt drive fans are foolproof, too. The horsepower gains are minimal, the alternator still has to make the power to drive them. Don't go crazy with compression or cam duration, either. That's a heavy truck, it'll turn into a pinging, temperamental pig with too "hot" an engine.
