Actually, want to know something really strange? Ever seen a AMC spirit with a 455 buick engine in it? Its actually, really easy. Take all the emissions crap out, swap in a t350, make a custom driveshaft and put a AMC 20 rearend with Concord Gears in it and make custom engine mounts. All of the ignition parts will work except for the factory distributor, and the engine mounts will work as well. If someone sees a blue 82 with a black hood and a disturbing amount of edelbrock stickers, ask him what he has under the hood. My Father built this car for about 1000$, and the car was free! yet, it never had power steering.........
