    Exclamation New smog laws

Hey poeople just thought I would pass along a little FYI. Was in my friends muffler shop today having a little work done on the MRS' vehicle and the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) happened to stop by looking for a receipt for a CAT they had installed on another customers vehicle. The test only station still would not pass the vehicle and had previously told the customer to replace the CAT, which they can not do but to send them to a repair station. So anyway he discussed the new laws that have been passed and will be coming soooooon! For those who don't know here in this crazy State of Cal, especially in the enhance areas the 30 year law is out. 1975 and down exempt unless an Officer propably CHP pulls you over and finds that you have altered the emissions system he can write you a citition to have it put back and smoged. I asked for what years? He stated all the way back was his answer. Also if you have a vehicle of 1975 and down and have a non op on it and then decide to put it back on the street they are going to request a smog cert. So just a word that Big State Brother is looking out for us. Anybody else have any info. bestbbq
