Lightbulb Think I got the bugs worked out.

Most of them anyway. Here's a little video & sound clip of the 454 I rebuilt. Solid lifters, aluminum heads, agressive cam, 4 bolt mains.

Here she'd idling about 900 and I'm reving to about 4,500rpm's.

Lemme know what you think. Turn you speakers up all the way first.

So what was the original problem? I never saw a reply on what you had to do to fix it.

It turned out that the distributor wires were off by two in the rotation. I never bothered to check it because the dist was from my running 350 in the Vette. I bought the car that way and never discovered the distributor was wired incorrectly. Previous owner had it screwed up and advanced the timing enough to cover the mistake.

It needed a carb gasket too.

The pipes are 1969 GM factory original side exhaust. Not sure of the size...maybe 2.25"

Not the best for performance, but I like the sound & the look.
