Dave,

Actually, the doors and trunk fit really well. The gaps are even and they close solid. The hood fit is quite different. The top fits just fine. The sides (sheet metal) are nasty. There's no clearance to get them on and off without scratching them or the frame. They remove with six screws each (4 on top, two on the bottom), and most of the holes were hand-drilled and are not square to the hood supports. Also, neither the original cowl lacing nor the SofSeal rubber lacing spaces the hood sides flush with the body. I suspect the thickness of the 'glass screwed up the fit. I may just run with no hood sides. Still thinking.

Pat,

Mebbe, mebbe not. I hope to have it running by summer. My main tasks left are painting, wiring and upholstery. I'll probably have it on the road before the upholstery is done. I intend to build a poly paint room in my garage for the final painting. Some 2x4 stud walls, sheath it with Visqueen. I've done that a couple of times before.

Either that, or I can hope that Chip and Courtney drop by and steal my car for a week . . .
