I put a sbc into a Gremlin.
All I done was set in the motor and marked it, then welded mounts onto some flat iron and then onto the frame. Worked good for me.
Rearends I believe are pretty weak. The Gremlin had 2 piece axles, but not sure bout the Rambler. HG
