It's not often Bob is wrong but in this case I have to disagree. My glasspacks have been very quiet since I took them off.
Maybe you could install a bigger engine.

Speaking of glasspacks, I ordered 1 from summit the other day for the '51, it should be here today or tomorrow. I ordered the 2" by 31 1/2" long. I ordered a glasspack because I knew a tube muffler would be an easy install and it was 16.95, I was thinking about a patriot Smithy's muffler but got the cheaper Thrush Magnum Glasspack. When it comes I'm getting all the other pipes and pipes bent locally so, I can put it all togther.

I know my car won't sound like a blown rat, it will just sound considerably better than a stock muffler, it should have a little more tone and a better flow.

Schools out now so, I'v got more time to work on the car. I still have 2 Regents exams friday tho

what was wrong with the back passenger side quarter on your car ? did you have to replace the whole thing or was the edge good enought to just patch it ? have you gotten all the sanding finished ?

The former owner put those panals ( driver and passenger side ) on with pop rivits and tack welded them, they stuck out a little so I bondod them up to smooth out the ridge. Yep there all sanded and there primed with rattle can primer. Those panals are just patch panals for the wheel opening, it's not the whole quarter.

I got to flush the gas tank, change all fluids and put on the exzaust then, I'm going to spray it with rattle can Primer ( after light sanding and smoothing/removing rust ) because that's all that my wallet will allow for paint this year. It's only a few weeks away from being regestered and driven. All the lights except 2 work ( backup light and liscense plate light ). The brakes work well cause the former owner put all new on and rebuilt the master cyl. I will need new tires but, I can afford them.
