I too,have been watching this with a lot of interest..along with the other build threads on here..I dont say much,but boy,am I taking it all in..

That looks great, Pro! I've heard of body panel adhesive but not much about it. Is it pretty stout?

They say it is stronger than spot welding. Most likely due to the fact that spot welds are just spots & glue covers more area of the joint. All the edges of these firewall panels are folder over the firewall frame so there's actually about a 2" wide glue seam around the panel edges and 1" on the cross bracing.
Glueing her? Now I see she is just a big supper high dollar model build huh Pro? J/K, beautifully done Pro, she is really taking shape. I can't wait to hear that monster run!

Ia m getting abead roller for Father's Day. ( I know because I asked for it and my wife couldn't lift it to move it away from the front door.)

22 ga. Rules call for .024'' firewall. Mine is more like .032'', but it's what I had available.
Yes Pro glue is the modern way to go but please remember to use spacers so that the urethane has a minimum of 1 to 2 mm of product to adhere to. Eg., don't clamp the panels so tight that all the urethane is squeesed out to the edge as is will result in poor bonding. Another interesting fact is to use the correct cleaner on both surfaces before bonding (Isopolene alcohol) so that the urethane will adhere to the clean surfaces. I think I have misspelt Isopolene but I hope you get my drift and you are probably fully aware of the correct procedure.;)
never heard of Isopolene alcohol......maybe you meant to say isopropyl alcohol?

I think I'll glue some aluminum to the inside of the quarter panels to attach the wheel tubs to the quarters. There's a few other spots I'd like to use it also. I'll have roughly $50 bux in glue on the firewall when it's done, so welding would be much cheaper. But it's so fast, easy & clean.
If I bought enough metal, I could glue me a garage together! What ya think guys, I could use old car hoods! LOL!! Pro I think we may have stumbled on to a new fad!
Hey Brickman you will start a novel looking garage using old car panels.Each garage would be different due to the different panels used etc.,I like your thinking tho. and using urethane would be strong enough. Image wind down door glass for ventilation and the bright colours of the complete building,heck the neighbours might have something to say about it.:LOL::LOL::LOL:
