Dave yeah and I was thinking it would be great to be in SD, LOL. I was never big on butt welding but the model A gave me some more experience so i did it right . Well came home today and finished trimming and fitting so i said might as well keep at it couple hours it was ready for a skim coat . Not welding inner solid till I hang fender back on in case i need to make a slight adjustment to it .

It would be easier for you to look me up at the KOA at Spearfish, we'll be there the 8th and 9th. We don't ride our bikes after dark so that would be the best time. Our site is in the name of Fred Saari. I'm leaving at noon tomorrow so if you PM me with your phone number or directions that would work also.

Falcon i am a pic junkie . I like to see them of others also since i'm a sight learning individual .
Thanks guys its this site that put the fire where it is . With out everyone here and what I've learned I may have been still just staring at it
Well finished up welding and hammered the flange over , This metal is thicker then stock took some work to get it skinny like original . The radius at bottom came out good and worked the door and fender to get it in line better . I have enough of patch left to fix my rocker spot and its allready shaped .

Dave the rocker did but years ago I found a perfect fender and am useing it . This car came with rocker moldings and we all know that they hold dirt and crude causing rust . This metal is sure thin compared to the 31 wish I had a better welder to control heat a little more like a variable type one . But with patience it came out fine . I did have to fix up a couple blow holes .

Looks great Bobby! I know what you mean about thin metal and blowing holes. On the MIG it is just hundreds of very quick trigger flicking and lots of grinding for me!
