Did you do the pinstriping Dave? I would like to see some close up work, I would sure like to have some accent pinstriping put on my '48.
I have a dumb question for you guys, I am going to put that big cam in my BB mopar and I will have to have a stall. I have not had any experience with them. Do they act like a normal tranny during normal operation? I know they are need to kick out earlier for high idle engines but what else do they do and what should I expect. Also any suggestions on where and what kind to buy would also help. Thanks"Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Dave if you put a wet brush down i'm sure it's very good . If you did it with out a refridgerator magnet it has to be exceptional .

Well they make the stripping tape . Seen a guy lay it out then run a brush over it . Clean edges but still a brushed stripe on those caddy's .

A little higher stall than stock won't hurt anything. Put a good trans cooler on it. I had a 2,800 in my panel truck with a BBC and pulled a camper all over the country with no problems. The higher the stall the more heat it will generate. It all depends what you plan to use it for. If you plan to race, you would want to match the stall to the optimum power range of the engine. If your driving on the street a 5,500 stall wouldn't be too practical. Just have to find the converter that's best for the application."PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.

Thanks Pro70, I will be using a mild street one (2800) for the cam I have coming, the 400 BB I have came with a 727 w/a 2200 stock but the 292 (Xtreme) comp cam says it needs a 2800 stall with at least a 3:56 rear end gear."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Well, here's the start of the '67 Coupe... This one was definitely a save from the crusher!! I guess there's enough to start with for the way the car will be built. Not much done yet, just some plates to reinforce the front rails and a test fit of the new crossmember.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Dave that will be some work . A little rust for you to take care of. Or is a restore the point in the build . Is this going to be a sleeper for the driving.
