Here's the oiled neck secret, use teak oil (it isn't sticky when it dries). It penetrates, seals and preserves the wood (minimizing warpage). Apply and even coat and let it dry overnight. Once dry just hand buff it down with a rag and apply again two or three more times allowing it to dry between coats. Once dry it will hand buff to a velvet feel and not be sticky.

Man, those are cool! I was tossing around an idea for a custom bass using an SG style body, a headless neck with a Steinberger bridge, and some Bartolini pickups. I’ve got a Spirit/Steinberger 5 string I’ve used as my main guitar for about 20 years; I love that thing.

Well the Boss has given me a green light for a new Guitar (can you ever have too many?)-, so, I'm on the hunt for a new (or, used) Les Paul-
I'm drawn to the 2016 Traditional T (in "Desert Burst ("it's lighter), or, the Slash Model in "November Burst" (2020)-anybody have thoughts on a new or as new Les Paul?
I have a Strat, a Telecaster, and a Martin D-35. I am building the Les Paul kit. The kits are very cheap. Certainly if I could afford it I would go after one of the Custom shop Les Paul Custom Access models though the 1958 reissue Gold top tugs at my heart
Where have you been searching so far? Have you checked Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace? both of those places you can find someone who started a project and then gave up.. you could make your own copy.?.?.? and then there's the whole internet! Working on another Les Paul ish kit for a friend’s 55 Chevy Build Ultimately the guitar body will match the blue on the car while the taped area will resemble the 55 Chevy Quarter Panel Trim. Working with someone now for some logo ish metal pieces to inlay in the headstock and the body of the guitar.

Not the usual basic Strat. It's a 1996 Fender Superstrat made for Richie Sambora.
One of the few in the collection.

Walking through Downtown Tupelo MS yesterday. Noticed the Hardware Store had a historical plaque on it. Seems like Gladys Presley purchased a guitar for her 6 year old son Elvis, in 1946. Went inside and the hardware still sells Guitars. They have an X marked on the floor where Elvis was handed his first guitar. Seemed like a bucket list moment to me. I BOUGHT A CHI CHI PING special Chinese Guitar. Just thought it was fun

Picked up a WASHBURN Woodline Acoustic/Electric the other day. It is an OM style guitar and easier on the arthritis than the Martin Dreadnaught. I intend to used this guitar to travel with. Enjoy.

Guitar Sanctuary in Frisco Texas had their annual Guitars and Cars show Saturday. Took my car out. Enjoyed meeting a lot of people, looking at some truly nice old school rides, and getting to see some really good guitars. I really like the Martin D-45. Enjoy the pictures.

Here’s a tribute we did to a local guitar legend. Great guy who taught many of us local musicians. He’s an awesome player and songwriter who everyone believes would have gone places if not for the onset of MS. Enjoy!

Thanks, all. Yeah, he was pretty surprised. He lives in Iowa now and is still hanging in there but definitely struggling with health issues. He's about 15 years older than me and we had a couple of bands together in the 90's before he had to stop playing. Here's another one of his; this one was getting some airplay on KSHE-95 in St Louis and surrounding stations back in the early 70's
