    CRM & Synergy

As I start this I want to relate background to it----------CRM--Cockpit Resourse Management---------
Many aviation accidents have been painstakinly analized as to why they happened when it had been determined that the aircraft was flyable altho possibl impaired in the operation of some of its systems.

In the final view it has been determined that the info and capability to operate the aircraft was present in the cockpit and or operations but not by all not in total by all crew members---------someone knew this, someone knew that, operations people knew something else but the info wasn't 100% shared by all-------

CRM-----came about as required training by all people involved---- and then inplimenting the results

Every approach and landing were CRITIQUED by the crew after arrival and discussed about what was good, better, and what could of been done to make it best--------this was not CRITISISM--------

We seem to have gotten to a point where certain people are picking at other folks here, instead of listening and evaluating about what they are saying to make something better or more safe not only for the hotrodder/builder , but for other folks on the road-----

Of course there are instances of hundreds of posts where we lamblast the OP-----or so it seems to the OP, but well maybe we are pointing out overlooked methods or reasons to do or not do something the way OP is posting---------Seems that Dave in the 37 OZE thought he was doing a BUILD LOG-where he was detailing a diary/log of his build---and we all jumped on and critized him about various things/methods he was using. And now he is probably gone---------

But we did it to DennyW, Dave Severson, Gary?, etc,etc-they had/have lots of experience and data that they posted here first hand that was accurate, basic info, correct tech specs, oem info, etc,etc

Seems like all we do is ask for PICS, PICS, and more PICS------Jerry wants to be able to post more pics easier, Roger wants everybody to use photoshop, Brent don't seem to care about the site, Bill seems to just stand in the shadows and occasionally will issue time out or ban??????

Lets work on fixing this place and making it the premier site for rodders to go to for the info they want and need----not just a place where we recommend JEGS and SUMMIT online catalogues as the LIBRARY for hot rods and customs-----

There is a lot more to hotrodding than roller packages with crate engines and it goes from cutting the tree down that has grown thru the windshield to rust removal to title and licensing----

I'm probably got this too long to post but if it works I'll be back
    Preview worked-----
So lets keep it under control --------say what you want-expect comments back in return----and lets take this site back to the top and bring back those that have left
    Lets pull together----------

After being grouped into teams-and a few days-we reached a point where each had to go to front of room beside a flipboard and write down the comments that were given about you by each of the others-was humbling!!!!!!! and then we had to draw a pattern like the old tic tac toe thingie( 9 squares) and record a numerical rating the other folks-I don't remember exactly the formant/values, but it created a WOWser visual of where the others thought about your performance----so if you guys want to work on this I'll try to dig out my notebook on it and we'll give er a go------

after a few years you figure out to not get involved with threads much . if you do this for a living your being a know it all and will end up getting flamed. i am very careful when i try to help. i've found the best method is to pm someone.

I like the idea Jerry, but I can't figure out what motor mounts or other synergy parts have to do with it. Just humor lol.

Going to be a giant step when discussions about very basic things such as brakes, steering, suspension, cooling, etc are not sidetracked by comments from the cadre that is most knowledgable about cup holders

A little too late I think.

I've been gone for over a year now and haven't missed a thing.

I worked 7 days a week from November of '15 thru June of this year (about 1500 hours), taking my project car entirely apart to paint, upholster and otherwise finish the whole thing. It saved me a lot of time and effort to NOT post any pictures of it on this website, but some are on my photobucket page, which is open to public viewing. I drove the car 1240 miles in it's unfinished form and now I've logged another 1500 after finishing it. The suspension mods I made that were heavily criticized are working great. The difference in the ride is huge. The car tracks perfectly and there is no sign of tire wear problems from my 4-wheel alignment job. The body work and paint came out great. Most people can't believe I did it all myself.

Very few people visit this site, so posting on it is a waste of time, IMO. Other sites allow a person to post a build log without interference. You should visit the factory five forum sometime. The postings are much more civilized.

Right now, I'm helping a fellow hot rodder (who I met at the Loveland Good Guys show) make some progress on a '37 Oze fenderless car that has doors similar to mine, but an entirely different chassis. At least it has a properly made Kugel IFS. He got his rolling chassis and body in 2011. It had the same problem as my car - doors that are a hollow shell with no provisions for power windows. I've filled the hollow window frame area in both doors, found that the supplied windows don't fit, so made a new window template that will fit. I've got one power window operating with the wood template, but need to get some real glass to finish up the job. Doing the job a second, time probably took half the time that I spent doing mine, but it still may be as much as 40 hours per door. I'm doing the work for free, as entertainment.

i come here to keep up with some old friends i've made over the years . many were on sr.com before it turned into a private car lot. i dont seek much advice on builds i'm doing. but when i do i know the select few here who will have the answers. my new build will drive the engine guys here nuts but i know i will get the answers i need. my falcon gasser will be an over camed mess to most but i am going for sound not performance. it ill be hell to tune but the car is for fun. building it with my godson is the important thing.

i'm catching hell from my ford guys . but i want it radical without going nuts. the 289 is a 10:1 motor i think . the explorer motor is a roller so i may use it with the 289 heads. i'm a painter so a cam change on a crate engine is about my limit. my trans guy bleeds blue ovals and had built engines for 50 years so he will help. when time comes i will throw out all the parts i have and see what happens. i've got a good fire suit for then

but young troy needs some grease on his hands so he can take care of his 55 ht he inherited from his folks .
