I haven't seen any that weren't money pits. It doesn't matter how much you spend on one initially, they eat it up some where some how. Haha

I'd be less nervous if he started on it and not the guy before him. I got some more pics and it may not be as grand as he advertised. If I do another undertaking I might want something to fit more people in anyway. I think I'm going to enjoy what I have for now and gear up for the Camaro.
I don't blame you. Just stick with the Camaro. just put blinders on when you're on trips and stay off CL. That's what I have to do. Haha

I have had a bad hankering for a muscle car with a 4 speed here lately. I picked up that Challenger but it's way far gone, and everything is so expensive for it. I was going to sell it but I'm just going to forget about it until the kids get older. I really want to build some stuff with my kids. My Dad was always stuck at work and we only got the opportunity to repaint a tractor and fix some broken trucks and cars once in a while when I was young. Him and I built a lot of things after I was out of high school though. And that brings me to my next road block. During my searches to find a muscle car project, I keep seeing very, very, rusted out turds for $2k on up. You can't buy much for under $2500 and even if you do it needs everything. Well, then it struck me like a slap to the face. I have Dad's 68 GS400 convertible rotting away at his house. After the 40 is drive able, I'm going to start on his car. If I don't it literally will be junk before I get around to doing it. There were only 2,024 GS400 convertibles with automatics in 68. His has optional rally stripes on it and there were only 466 of those produced. His also supposedly had a Dealer add on Stage 1 kit but I can't find any paper work on that. It also had a tilt column and rally wheel. So this entire time I have been wanting a unique and rare muscle car and it has been setting out in the pasture this whole time. It is going to require frame repair since it's rusted out, and dang near every part replaced. To me it's worth saving just because I want to give it back to him. He was never able to fix it up like he wanted because he put his available time and money into getting stuff for my brothers and I. It still won't kill the 4 speed itch though....... Sorry for the hijack......
