Thumbs up '31 Ford Tudor Sedan

    Hi,

My name is Bill Wonder and I built this '31 Ford Pro Street Tudor Sedan in a new/old theme.
I wanted to take this opportunity to share my 'project' with other rodders. As you might expect, I'm pretty proud of the way it turned out!
The car was found as a 'bare' body along a fence row in western Nebraska and modified as pictured.
All body, chassis, engine, interior and paint were done at home in my garage. The car features over 30 subtle body modifications, including a filled roof with 4" chop, flush-fit doors, molded sunvisor, cowl, custom-built rear panel with license recess, all steel floor pans with recessed firewall and custom-built wheel tubs. It also has custom-molded simulated 'scoops' in the front fenders for A-frame clearance, 4-inch wider than
stock rear fenders recessed into the rear body, full filled seams, a '32 grille shell and a 3" dropped headlamp bar.
Other features include a moonroof, dark gray tinted glass, power windows, power remote door locks, tilt wheel, Vintage gauges, etched LeCarra Gunslinger wheel, and a JBL Stereo from a '91 Thunderbird. The Interior is all gray leather with gray tween and the power seats came from an '87 Charger Shelby Daytona.
The body is finished in base/clear Black Sapphire Pearl with Blue Pearl 'ghost' flames.
The chassis features a boxed Model A frame with '90 Pinto/Mustang II front end using a stock Ford crossmember, upper and lower (chromed) control arms, disc brakes, and chromed Heidts strut arms.
The rear end is a 9-inch Ford with 3.89 gears (chromed) and narrowed to 36". The driveshaft is an aluminum unit from an '87 Corvette (shortened
    five inches) and polished.
The frame was smoothed and painted bright blue Ford pearl and the underbody features a louvered aluminum belly pan from Bitchin' Products,
who also supplied the recessed firewall. Oh yeah, don't forget the purple neon underneath!!
Under the hood is a '63 vintage 390 FE Ford big block with large chamber 406 cylinder heads and a somewhat rare, Edelbrock aluminum cross ram with twin (chromed) 600 c.f.m. Holleys. Exhaust was handled by custom-built headers flowing through 2 1/2 inch exhaust and a pair of large diameter stainless mufflers/tips out the back. This is backed by a '68 Ford C-6 automatic with shift kit and Hurst Pro-Matic II shifter.
Wheels and tires are 15 x 12" polished Centerline X on 31 x 16.50 x 15 Mickey Thompson Sportsmans bringing up the rear and 14 x 6" polished Centerline X on 195R60 x 14 Revengers up front. Chromed wheelie bars add that racer look to this street rod.

I, too, am a Vette and Model A guy. Just getting started on my 5 window coupe. Does anyone now where I can get the low down on boxing my frame correctly?
    Thanks,

This car is awesome though. He gives me some ideas on stuff to do to mine. I like the '32 grille and the ghost flames.
