Ah, yess; the day. I traded my '69 Chevy 4x4 for a '69 Dodge A100 shorty that was lowered (with blocks in the rear and flipped leaves in front (bad deal, that)); had walnut and maple paneling, and gold shag carpet. It drove like a drunk squirrel, but it looked good, sitiin' still.

When we bought our house, we couldn't qualify with two car payments, so we sold the van and kept the '68 Chevelle SS396.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.
Twistin' and bangin' on stuff for about sixty or so years; beat up and busted, but not entirely dead - yet.

love the drunk squirrel.. we had a 79 chevy van with the.. House of Shag.. job done to it. that thing on ice was a joy to drive .it was almost new and i just about put it in a big big ditch.i past someone.roads did not look bad.i went to get back in the lane dam thing look like friday night at the dirt track i never want to get a chevy van that far sideways in my life timeIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip
