safety first
I have a newfound respect for an electric fan. They are as dangerous as a mechanical, apparently. 13 stitches in two fingers. It only took a moment of innattention.
SO. Stay focused while you work..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Sorry to hear that.I don't remember where I read it,but the spinning fan is a distraction of your eyes so you end up reaching where you shouldn't.It's kind of the way our brains are wired.

An electrician who worked for me was chcking a computer for a machine that was not running properly.While I was watching him he put his fingers into the running cooling fan. What a mess. He said he didn't know why he did it????Charlie

I don't entirely understand it myself. I reached in to check airflow, plenty of room, but managed to let two fingers touch the fan. Strange..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Glad you only had to get a couple of stitches vs. loosing a finger or two. Fans scare the hell out of me. Saw a friend in high school do that with a mechanical fan. He was lucky to only require a few stitches too.Keith

Another question, I was told this engine takes 6 quarts of oil. Is that correct? It's a remanufactured 350 with stock pan.
SB distributor won't fit
