I'm not sure if you know this, but '53 was the first year that Buick used the nailhead V8. I doubt there's much difference in the engine bays, but you should be aware that the car came with a V8 and will most likely have motor mount stands for a V8. I don't remember if they're different, just giving you a heads-up. The transmission mounts might be different also.
