    40 coupe is getting painted!

     



    i loaded my car on the trailer and took it to barrys streetrods in fort wayne in. they are gonna start disassembly monday or tuesday. i have a little damage on the passenger front fender they are gonna straighten out and then its time for paint! going gloss black. also getting new glass everywhere but the windshield. cant wait to get it back. its supposed to be ready by the end of march.

    A friend of mine lives in Valpo. 300S. and 400N. some where out in the corn fields. He's building a 37 Ford coupe. Close to paint time for him.

    i am going just a plain gloss black paint job. yes im keeping the weld racing rodlites for this year, eventually i want to put a set of cragers on it. i gotta put a new radiator in it and get a few things fixed in the interior and it will be done. thanks for the compliments.

    i talked with my painter this morning, he spent all week getting the fenders and hood straightened and fixed, going to begin priming them today. getting the body soda blasted next week and also the guy who does the glass will be coming by the shop. hoping to be ready for paint in april.

    ok i posted some pics. gotta wait till i get my radiator fixed before i can get it outside and get some better photos, also am detailing out the motor now, and the front bucket seats are being reupolstered, will post more pics soon.

    From the pics it looks like the paint job came out quite nice!!!! Black makes it a whole different car!

    the 40 ford is my favorite car of all . ben my favorite since i was a kid. never got me one but man, they are sharp.it just dont get any better than them 40 fords !

    Yeah buddy! Your coupe turned out awesome! Congrats. Oh yeah, I'm also mad at you now. Every time I see another black one it reminds me how much I dislike my purple/electric blue. I'm going to have to do mine even if it is a rattle can job. That has to be better than faded purpleish blue. Ha Ha
