    If you have done those top members around the opening in steel,,why not just get someone to form a piece of panel steel to the correct shape,and if those members are bolted in,,weld the steel top to them,pad the top with foam rubber,or??,wrap it all in vinyl,and seal the bottom edges,and bolt it all down as one piece..Just be sure to seal the edges well,and I cant see a problem..
