Yeah the steering will be a piece of cake, toyota box included in the kit from F100 Central and speedway has the pump and pulley.May have to fab a bracket for the pump,no big deal. Guy wants the power steering and an O.D. automatic trans so his wife will drive it ? But with no a/c I'll bet it sits in the garage anyways.
Oh well, he's the one screwing this dog,I'm just holding it down for him.

I need to know more about those AOD transmissions..We have the Aussie derivative down here, and while they work well, they are also computer controlled, which I thought the American AOD was..or are the later models[late 90s up] electronic..I would like to put one in my F100,but no one down here seems to know anything about them,,and those who do,dont like them...As far as the steering goes,my engineer friend, who did my conversion, cut the box off the F100 column, formed a bigger section at the bottom of the column for a bearing, and splined the F100 shaft to suit the Toyota coupling,so I could keep the old F100 column, wheel etc,for appearance..A/C??we just wind the windows down,or up ,as the case may be...

I can't tell you much about the AOD trannys. Other than thats what everybody seems to want to use on a Ford project. I did read on the Ford Bronco site last night that those guys like the Ford Ranger overdrive I think it was the AL4D. So i'm not partial to any trans other than my customer wants an o.d. automatic.
Hell I'll put a G.M.700r4 in there if somebody makes a kit to do it,as I don't want to tie a bay up fabricating stuff to make it work. AOD's must be pretty decent as I had them in 2 Explorers and pulled a 24 foot fully loaded race trailer all over the country with em without a problem. The steering kit by F100 central does the same as you did ,as we want to retain the original column.
