    FINALLY - Out of Hibernation

It stopped raining, the temp went into the high 70s and something bright yellow was hanging in that strange blue sky. I was able to pry the basement shop open and lo and behold, was able to push the roadster out to start it up for the first time since Dec. 6, 2010. And having an Edelbrock carb, took 8-10 revolutions to pull the gas from the tank. The long rest didn't hurt a thing - runs like a top, the tires will have a few less miles left .

This was the first run with the top and hood on the car - what an appearance difference. I did make one observation - I'll need wind wings to keep some of the breeze out, so, need to order at least the brackets tomorrow then possibly have Lexan cut instead of glass.

That VDO speedometer may become history - couldn't get it to work right, so ended up using my GPS for speed and distance. I'll give it another try, but it had the same problem last year.

Dam' that was a nasty springtime we've had to date - a month plus late doing my first drive of the year

Great news, Dave! That first drive of the year, even a month or more later than normal, is still a special day!

Finally got mine to the state of running and street legal. Found out tho I need to replace rearend gears way to high. Makes the car buck at low speeds (four speed car). No problem tho I have a set of 3.50 gears I will install. After I get back from Springfield. Other than that car drives and handles like a dream much better than i would have ever thought.

Yipppppeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! Well, one of us got a nice day, anyway!!! Rumored that it might almost reach 70 here today--before the rain sets in for the weekend.....

Anyway, sounds like a great ride Dave! Hope you get the time for a bunch of them this year!

Thanks all - it was a great day. While I really didn't put a whole lot of miles on it, I did get lots of thumbs up which is always a plus. There are a lot more roads to travel - and some might even get some rubber put down on them today. And as far as going to Roch. for cake - well, I might make Saratoga for a bagel today instead

Sounds like a good opportunity for some light brown puppy curls to be blowing in the wind!! Grab your bagel, and stop by the Sloppy Kisses Treat Boutique Sloppy Kisses of Saratoga - A Treat Boutique for Dogs, Saratoga Springs NY for the pup!!

Awesome Photo! Glad at least someone here in the Northeast got some sun! Seems that all it will do around here is rain! My Dad wanted me to plow his garden but, all I managed to do is get the tractor stuck in the mud. He's usually planted by now...

Glad you got to go for a ride! Sounds like Good Times!
