    hot rod electric car

has anyone made an electric car with a hod rod? I'm starting on one with my 41 chevy coupe, using two forklift motors and ev-100 controller. using the plans mostly from mother earth back in 73 but upgrading with items from today's market.

    I would like too

It is on my plans to do. Prob a roadster due to weight issues. I have also used Hydrogen generators in a couple of rides.

    pajardon,

    Welcome to the zoo!!!!

Check out this thread if you haven't already..

Electrathon - A Different Kind of "Hotrod"

Hope it works...good luck I understand that there is a lot of instant torque available to an electric motor with a lot of power!
...at least I'm enjoying the ride!

I'm having a notion to do so too. But I have looked into the cost of controller and battery supply..all of a sudden the small block chevy engine build is inexpensive. I happen to be in Portland, Oregon so there seems to quite a group of people building electric cars and cycles that are used for racing. Most seem to be the light weight imports.
Try EVA news. is great source for technical information to get the main drive train together.
    Have fun..keep us updated.
