 http://www.semasan.com/main/main.aspx?id=62843
I received this "toolbox" link from SAN. Scroll down on the web page and click on your state's outline to open a compilation of the vehicle registration rules and regulations (the "My State" list to the left simply takes you to an area with current events and links to your legislature). I found this very helpful in understanding how Kansas defines the various "specialty vehicles", and that to run "Antique" tags under the law the vehicle must be all original, or with updates necessary for safety (like juice brakes on a Model A would be OK, as would a modified intake for efficiency/power), but cannot have any updated running gear.Roger

I was looking at this yesterday..I'm surprised no one responded. A lot of the information for VA is on the DMV site, but this has a lot of laws listed with what safety equipment is required, etc. It's all still a bit confusing and overwhelming though . Thanks for the link! . Thanks for the link!'35 Ford coupe- LT1/T56, '32 Ford pickup, 70 GTO convertible, 06 GTO

I am a little surprised this thread didn't see more action, but I just wanted to call attention to the 'Join SAN' link at the bottom of that webpage. A higher number of members will help fight laws against the hobby '35 Ford coupe- LT1/T56, '32 Ford pickup, 70 GTO convertible, 06 GTO

Glad to post the link, guys. I looked at the Kansas link and was surprised at the number of statute pages that had been compiled in one place, and it helped me understand some of the nomenclature that the license bureau tosses around. I found it to be of value, and I agree the more people join SAN the better informed we can be about potential problems. It's free, and they do not inundate you with e-mails.Roger

Moved this from the lounge to Hot Rod Talk....Left redirect in place in the lounge so it's visible from both places. Good info.Brent Mills
