Wow that really is a beauty. The red car is cool too! Seriously, your Amx looks mint.Didn't hey turn one of those into an airplane in a bond film? Man with a golden gun?

They had a Hornet and a Matador in the movie. The Hornet did a 360* spin off a ramp and the Matador was the plane car.

Thanks guys. I have owned this car since 1975. I bought it when I was 18 years old and hung on to it. It used to get street raced a lot back then. Thankfully we both survived.

I drove it up until 1982 when it was parked and I started a complete restoration on it in the mid 90's after I decided it was cheaper to restore a muscle car than stock car racing for the previous 12 years.

You did a great job restoring it to what I believe they looked like new on the lot! It's nice to read stories of folks who still have their first hot rod or muscle car. I wish I still had my Mustang. One day I'll get another one.

    I kept my Mustang also.

Here's some interior shots of the AMX.

Mine was a 68 coupe. That one of yours would also make a nice Bullet stang.

    dmw,

You have some beautiful cars. It's neat that you were able to keep them for so long.

    Jack.
