    1931 Roadster Pickup

I just found one in this tiny little town that I live in.
The guy bought it in 1963 (I have seen the title) took it apart, tagged and bagged everything, and then it sat in a warm, dry garage.
The only rust on any of the sheet metal is on the lower rear corner of the body on the driver's side, about 1/8th inch across, and about an inch long. The rest of the body, fenders (fronts are both with the sidemount spare wells) splash aprons, rear fenders, hood, subrails, seat riser, etc are as nice as I have ever seen. He has the original (at least the one in it when he bought it in '63) engine, original chassis in perfect shape, top bows, windshield frame and stanchions, it's all there..
Best of all is the price, $4,000.00
I don't have room for the danged thing, but I'm pretty certain it's a smokin' deal that I shouldn't pass up. I have photos on the main computer, but I'm on my laptop in bed right now. Trust me, this sucker is all apart, and really really nice.
    Is it worth the $4k?

To me it sounds like a good deal, but a lot depends on where you live. I see on many forums where a guy in some State (usually places like Montana, Utah, etc) will find some nice car and pay peanuts for it. If that same car were some place else (like here in Florida where we don't find these things often) the price would be a lot higher. If it is as clean and complete as you say, $ 4,000 doesn't seem out of line at all.

When was the last time you even saw a rpu stock, just sitting? I can't remember seeing many. What would you do to it? I'm no restorer, but maybe this one needs left stock. It has survived all these years and just maybe it would be a sin to hot rod this one. Just sayin'...............

Hope you score it and please post lots of pictures.

Dave, I saw your pictures elsewhere this morning...........I think it's a sweet find. If the thought is to turn it for stronger bux not sure in this market that's too easy, but ya never know. Not quite like finding a pristine Hebmuller........but close.
