    Anodized Aluminum Battery Clamps

     



    I am looking for some honest feedback, this is a new idea I am thinking about possibly producing.

    Anodized Aluminum Battery Clamps
    EZ-disconnect, no tools needed.
    Because of the anodizing the cables won't arch if they come in contact is any piece of metal on the car.

    I have a limited number of sets available, $100 per set, plus shipping.

    Let me know what you think or if you are interested in purchasing.

    Very nice looking parts. Although I can't see it, I assume the anodizing is cleaned off the inside of cable connection area.
    How is the cable held in place? 2 set screws?

    Thanks Mike, yest the inside of the clamp, which makes contact with the post does not have any anodizing and the 2 set screws are staggered just a bit and do hold the cable in place.

    Jeff, I'm not sure you answered Mike's question, he asked about the anodizing inside the clamp where the battery cable strands would make contact. Your answer regarded the contact area for the battery post. In the pics, it appears the anodized coating is still inside cable connection area. Are you absolutely sure the anodized clamp won't arch if improper contact is made?

    They are nice, hi-tech looking clamps, would look good if the battery is exposed, but so many are hidden out of sight now.

    Hi Mike,
    Thanks for the explanation of the question. In the area where the battery cable is connected to the clamp, the anodizing is only present where the battery cable sheath is. So it is anodized for about 3/16 of an inch in, then it is bare aluminum. Yes these are installed on a buddies car and they did not arch when they came in contact with a wrench or if the cable touches something else metal in the car.

    The look is something I am working on, to not be so edgy, but for now this is what I have. They are functional, with the positive and negative colors and they are not interchangeable. The positive can only be used on the positive.

    Jeff; They are nice but I think $100 dollers is a little to pricey for me, though.

    I also think they are very nice and look very functional......but 39.99 sounds more like a selling price to move some product.

    I am sure you will sell some at 100 per set and probably make some decent side money.......but you would get alot more orders at a cheaper price.

    I would probably even be willing to do 49.99 or 25 bucks a piece.

    Just concerned over how well the material will hold up in daily use,I have no idea how aluminum reacts to battery acid and corosion?

    Once again ...that is a very nice part you have there...very good looking!

    Also my next concern would be once the battery post gets cleaned a few times and the diameter becomes smaller....how well they would adjust to this......it looks like the lever to tighten them down is already almost against the battery and would not be able to adjust any smaller....not sure if all battery posts are exactly the same size........the reason I say this is because it looks like you would only have 180 degrees of rotation with it on the post....I guess it is a good coarse thread to allow alot of clamping movement in such a short stroke? and could the lever end up sticking straight up in the air or is there a adjustment for this to allow the arm to lay down like in the picture no matter what.
