I think I vaguely remember hearing something about radial tires, but I personally have never seen a set Whiplash. I've always been a bias ply kind of guy, but I am definitely going to put a set of Diamond Backs on my 46 when I do it. I had a long talk with a vendor at Turkey Run last year and looked over some of the ones he had there on display. I'm very impressed, they look very close to bias plies but I bet they ride and handle better, especially on a heavier car like the 46. I admit bias plies aren't perfect, but they work well for me and I do like the old timey look of them better than most radials, especially on a fenderless car..............but that is just me.

Didn't get a whole lot done today, had to refinish a chest for my bedroom, so that took up most of the day. But my license plate light and frame came in from Bob Drake, it is a knock off of the old Hollywood light that are getting hard to find. I have an original on my 23 that I scored on Ebay and one more I am saving for the 29 RPU when I do that one, but this repop is really very nice, and it has no shelf rash like most of the old ones you find.

I was proud of myself, I actually drilled the two mounting holes in exactly the right place for a change. Usually I have a bunch of holes around the one that finally fits, or else some holes that I oblonged to get them to work. Maybe I'm getting better or just lucky this time.
