    Cool pictures, thanks for posting.

The car shown below isn't everybody's cup of tea and when I first saw it I was thinking "WHY?". But the more I looked at it the more I realized the guy not only did some great aluminum welding (the whole car is hand built from aluminum) but also it features some creative work. We talked to him at BelAir Plaza, nice guy, and he told us all about how he did it and that he realizes it is outside the mainstream, but he didn't want to build just another car.

It has a turbocharged v-6, air suspension, and hydraulic steering that he says steers better than his daily driver SUV. It had a crowd around it the whole time it was there.

BTW, what is with I-4 from Altamonte through downtown Orlando? Has to be the worst stretch of highway in the US. It has been that way for as long as I can remember and it was downright scary in a buggy sprung hot rod at 60 MPH. I was actually all four wheels off of the ground on some of the seams in the road! What an embarrassment to Orlando.

    Don,

If you think that I-4 is bad, you should see the brick roads through downtown! Used to shake the willies out of the '48 on either of those roads!

With regards to the supercharged 6 in the aluminum rig, I'm glad you had a chance to talk to him! The closer I looked the more amazed I became...definately different!
...at least I'm enjoying the ride!

As we were strolling through BelAir Plaza I saw this aluminum looking creation in the distance and my first thoughts were "man is this ugly!" But then we got up to it and started noticing details and the workmanship was really very nice. He was standing there and I asked him if he owned it and he did. He was super nice and took time to explain the car, which he understands isn't what everyone would want, but from the people gathered around it and the comments he had the respect of everyone for thinking outside the box and for his workmanship.

I said "I bet you were good at welding aluminum when you were done," and he said "that's what I do for a living." It shows. This was one of those situations where your opinion got revised once you had a chance to really look at it.
