    Had some long distance visitors.

Saturday we had two visitors at our shop............from ENGLAND! Actually they came to visit my Son Dan, but we got to hang out with Steve and Sue Langy of Langy's Rod Shop in Merry Old England.

Some of you will remember the thread I did a while back on Steve's outstanding 32 Ford Roadster, the metalflake green one. Well, he and Sue are in the States for Holiday and were in our neck of the woods so he wanted to stop by and see our shop. Two of the nicest people you would want to meet and I even got to take his lovely Wife for a cruise in my T. She has her own beautiful 29 RPU that she drives almost daily (weather permitting in rainy England).

We took them to a restaurant.....an English Pub. Now that I look back on it, that was probably dumb because it would have been better to treat them to some American food for a change of pace. They are heading to the Florida Keys and then will end up in Daytona for Turkey Run. Looking forward to seeing them again there in two weeks.

It was nice to learn about England rodding and how Steve runs his shop. We had to do some thinking to convert pounds to dollars though when we discussed prices. Dan and I had a great time and learned a lot about rod building in the short time we spent with them. Dan actually got to teach Steve about bucking rivets.......thanks to Gastrick teaching Dan how to do them.

Here are two of Steves cars. That's Sue in the green roadster and Steve and Sue in the T. Dan and Steve were so engrossed trading car secrets that Steve didn't notice I ran off with Sue for a little ride. lol
