Ah ha I bet you thought i wouldn't see this Don
See i do look in when i get a chance.
I hope to spend a little more time here in future after Don telling me what a great site it was, Time is something that always seems to be in short supply with me
Anyways i want to thank Don, Dan and little Don (joke) for making us so very welcome, Both Sue & I felt that we had met what i'm sure will be lifelong friends.
We did catch up with you all in Daytona and Sue says thanks for the ride in the T, we had a great evening chatting to our new friends and having a great laugh, it was memorable. Sorry we didn't see you at the Turkey run but as you said it would be very difficult to bump into each other.
Congratulations on the 46 Coupe it looks a real peach body, personally i would slide that 394 olds in there but whatever you use it will turn out great.
All the best and hope to speak again soon.
Steve & Sue
P.S. give them boys a kick up the arse and finish that car and boat as i want a ride in both on our next visit
Don get your arse to england sometime and i will give you the 5 cent tour
Its aweful lonesome in the saddle since my horse died.

Steve!!! So glad you saw this and posted. Don's phone died on him at TR and he forgot his charger at home, so we couldn't get your calls. When he got home and put the charger on it he said he found your messages.......sooooo sorry we missed you.
We enjoyed hanging out with you and Sue on Thursday night and enjoying an American turkey dinner with you guys. At least this time I didn't take you to a so-so English Pub like the last visit.
We talked a lot about how much we like you two and how it seems we have known each other for years. You are a lucky guy to have a sweetheart like Sue, and she seems just as lucky.
Next time you guys are coming to the States let us know..........if you do it in 5-10 years you MIGHT even get a ride in Dan's car.
Say hi to Sue and take care Mate!
Dan just came in my room and read your post and said to say hi also.

Great thread Don. Always fun to see different members get together. I bet you both had a lot to share. Nice cars all around. Tip for British pubs, bangers are good, and avoid mushy peas~!

P.S. I love the headlights on that green roadster. Nice detail!"
"No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

You're right Steve (American Steve, not English Steve
) Steve (English Steve) is a detail fanatic. The underside of his cars has little touches no one will ever see but he still spends hours turning out one off pieces that are jewelry quality and installing them.
Oh, BTW Steve (English Steve not American Steve
..........wow this two Steve business is really confusing!
) Dan may have found the color for his car and it is very much like what you two were discussing at the Pub. We saw a light green 32 Ford that we loved the color on and it was much like the one you guys saw on that knick knack at the pub. Here is a picture of it. Dan even scored the color code for it from the builder.

Steve, we stopped at the Brookville Roadster booth because Dan bought a 32 cowl vent to weld into his Model A rpu. While we were standing there we both looked over and said "that's the color Steve and Dan were looking for that day in the pub!" One of the owners of Brookville, Chuck, gave us the 50 cent tour and gave Dan the color code for that roadster. If Dan changes his mind I might paint my 27 that color. (we can't have two roadsters in the same family the same color.......Dan would never stand for that.
) The year I bought the four spoke Bell type wheel for my 23 I grabbed two of them off of the vendors wall and intended on giving one to him. But he said he didn't want two of our cars to have the same wheel, so I put one back.

Yes Don as soon as i saw it i thought the same, I took almost the same angled pic as you, It will look super nice.
On returning home i was offered a really nice glass 33 3W body for £1500 which is $2400 so i bought it as i already have a 34 frame laying around, intention is to build a 33 altered riding high in the front with a 401 nailhead i have spare.
Here's a pic of the body, The bottom pic is what it will look like.
