Great thread Don. Always fun to see different members get together. I bet you both had a lot to share. Nice cars all around. Tip for British pubs, bangers are good, and avoid mushy peas~!
P.S. I love the headlights on that green roadster. Nice detail!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

You're right Steve (American Steve, not English Steve) Steve (English Steve) is a detail fanatic. The underside of his cars has little touches no one will ever see but he still spends hours turning out one off pieces that are jewelry quality and installing them.
Oh, BTW Steve (English Steve not American Steve..........wow this two Steve business is really confusing!
) Dan may have found the color for his car and it is very much like what you two were discussing at the Pub. We saw a light green 32 Ford that we loved the color on and it was much like the one you guys saw on that knick knack at the pub. Here is a picture of it. Dan even scored the color code for it from the builder.

Steve, we stopped at the Brookville Roadster booth because Dan bought a 32 cowl vent to weld into his Model A rpu. While we were standing there we both looked over and said "that's the color Steve and Dan were looking for that day in the pub!" One of the owners of Brookville, Chuck, gave us the 50 cent tour and gave Dan the color code for that roadster. If Dan changes his mind I might paint my 27 that color. (we can't have two roadsters in the same family the same color.......Dan would never stand for that.) The year I bought the four spoke Bell type wheel for my 23 I grabbed two of them off of the vendors wall and intended on giving one to him. But he said he didn't want two of our cars to have the same wheel, so I put one back.

Yes Don as soon as i saw it i thought the same, I took almost the same angled pic as you, It will look super nice.
On returning home i was offered a really nice glass 33 3W body for £1500 which is $2400 so i bought it as i already have a 34 frame laying around, intention is to build a 33 altered riding high in the front with a 401 nailhead i have spare.
Here's a pic of the body, The bottom pic is what it will look like.
Its aweful lonesome in the saddle since my horse died.

Very good!I always loved that coupe. Wasn't it owned by Mooneyham and Sharp or something like that? You are going to run it down the quarter mile occasionally, aren't you?

".......So sanded it all down and resprayed. ......" Been there. done that on a couple of paint jobs over the years. Usually took me a couple of days to get over being mad before I started...
