    Ford 9 Inch Quick Change!

Alright guys and girls have you ever seen one of these before? I will attempt to post a picture. I found this at a shop and it's just a really neat piece! I have never seen one before and thought at first it was a "jimmied" up part but it was designed for this rear end. Any info. on it would be great. I did put it up on ebay(# 170355593536) as I really don't have any use for it. Plus my wife wasn't to keen on putting it on display (coffee table). Thanks, Matt.

I've seen that unit before, but never on a differential. They where designed to go on the back of a transmission. If I remember they where designed in the
70's to beat the no quickchange differential rules of the sportsman classes although I never ever saw one of em in use.

Yep I had the same response when trying to find some info. on it too. The company "Jones Mechanical" used to make a lot of race car products but must be long gone. Everyone that has seen it is just amazed at it. It would be great in an old rat rod or something where you could actually see it. Maybe I should call Speedway and see what they think. I think they still collect oddball pieces. Thanks for the replies! Matt
