Price Check: 55 Olds Rocket 88

Hey guys, buddy of mine found this car and wanted to get a quick view from the hot rod world. Here is what I know, its a V8, car runs good, has small tran leak, clean title, 4dr, no power steering. Looking for a price check if it would be worth our time

Thanks, I wonder where this one would fall, I imagine around avg, at least thats the way it looks from pics. How much demand is there? I wonder how difficult it would be too flip it and maybe fine tuning a few things

Only use the NADA as a reference.... like anything else, it's only worth what someone will pay for it... I know that's not much help... but I think the NADA guide is pretty high.

Of course, and thats a good point 65. Anyone wanna give me some ball park figures what they'd expect to pay for this and/or how easily it can be moved after

4 doors are notoriously high in both NADA and Kelly books..... To the right guy on the right day that REALLY wants the car, I'd guess that you might get 1/2 of the "low" figure...... IMO it'd take a MINT 2 door hardtop to bring the "average" figure, and even then you'd be back to finding the right guy on the right day.... Nothing personal to anyone, but my observation over the years is that the collector types who would even want a 4 door aren't going to pay anything even resembling a reasonable price.....

Thanks for the honesty dave, I am starting to lean that same direction, doesn't seem like its going to be worth it, I think I could get it at a pretty darn good price (much better than half the low) but don't think it would be easy to move and I might get stuck with it. Maybe if I can find someone interested in trading beforehand, id really like some sort of mustang/corvette 70's type car, nothing fancy
