    23 Roadster build

Not much to start with, but it's a start. 23 Dodge touring sedan cut down to a two door. Picking up the rolling chassis tonight - late model rear of some sort, front Ibeam with disk brakes. Radiator and 305 also comes with. Picks of the mockup soon to follow.

Very cool body. I love the mockup stage, it's my favorite part of the build. You get to put engines up on concrete blocks, wood under other parts, and masking tape to hold it all together. Then you can sit back in you pondering chair and dream. If you don't like the look you just push stuff around a little.

Keep the pictures coming, we love these projects.

Got some mocked up this weekend, don't know exactly what I'll do with the suspension yet. Maybe a four link rear?

Me too, and you are going to have some leg room in there with that stretched body.

Funny you should mention that. I was looking at how long the body was last night. I mocked up some seating. I had to put two seat backs in one side to get it close. So I can possibly mount a seat back in there, and have a tad of room behind it. Maybe some room for roundbars.

Little progress this weekend. 40' of 2X4 box steel was delivered to my house last week. Got the front rails pinched to 3" and frame stacked (Z'd) 4" at the cowl. Wondering if I should narrow the rear Z still. I have to decide soon if I'm going to run a bed or not. If I do narrow it - should I double the rear bulkhead (crossmember)? And should the upright be birdmouthed onto that bulkhead (crossmember)? I want to make sure the frame is overengineered. All I got so far.

    A little update

Got the new chassis mocked up this weekend. Not moving along super fast yet, must need to put in an order for parts or something. Still working with what I have so far. I'm not too fond of the fuel tank either.

A little update, been working on the front and rear suspension forever. Think I have a plan and halfway whooped. Going with a fourbar to mimick two long radius rods - not yet ordered the bushing bar ends though. Got the front set up, but need to order a reverse front spring - broke mine trying to re-arch it backwards on the press. Probably needed to get a new one anyway. Just dropped off templates to a buddy's shop to have brake bracket made for the model A pedals I bought. Plus he's cutting out four-bar brackets, driveshaft hoops, and fuel tank saddles. Also scored a grille shell, A rear spring, and a T tank. That should keep me busy for a while anyway.
