    I have owned that model corvette and I really enjoyed it.I wish I had have kept it.It was low mileage also. I never put the decals on ,let them go with the car. Sold for 12,500 in 1990.

    Post some pics.

    Gues you'll have to change your avatar.

    I had a 77 that was painted fire engine red. I love those vettes. They lacked horsepower, but it was easy to add that.

    Yeah, and it ain't no Hot Rod either... Hate to be controversial, but I've owned 13 Vettes and never thought of them as hot rods....a sports car yes, hot rod......No.... None the less, enjoy your new ride!

    Technically if it has any modifications sans perfromance it is correct to call it a hot rod.

    common defs;

    "Automobile rebuilt or modified for high speed, fast acceleration, or sporty appearance. A wide range of automobiles may be called hot rods, including some of those used in drag racing as well as those used in recreational cruising. They may be composed of used or new parts. Some are intended primarily for exhibition."

    "An automobile that has been rebuilt or modified to increase its speed and acceleration."

    When I was a young teenager, I rode my bmx bike over to Eagle Supermarket near my home and bought a model of your car. The coolest thing about it is that the former supermarket has just been turned into a Corvette museum and has that same car! What I like about the 70's vette's is when you are doing about 110 and the passing gear shifts into highway gear and spills your drink on your lap. Have fun and take it easy!
